Angela Wolf, Director
Angela Wolf was born in Media, Pennsylvania. Even at a young age, Angela had a passion for visual storytelling. She acquired her directing nickname "Angela the Beater" in high school after jokingly telling a friend that she'd be beaten if she messed up her lines. The name stuck throughout the twelves shorts she made throughout high school and college. After three years in Philadelphia and a semester interning in Los Angeles, Angela will graduate from Temple University's Film and Media Arts department in January 2013. With a focus in writing and directing, Angela has three shorts listed on IMBD.
Angela met Nabeel for the first time in high school. Although he was only 14 and she was 18 years old, Angela quickly took a motherly role in helping Nabeel adjust to the new school. During this first year, Nabeel confided in Angela about his parents. When they began searching for ways to get Nabeel out of the situation, Angela found out how difficult it is to get things done with the US legal system. This was the first inspiration for a documentary. Angela decided to wait, however, until she had the resources and the skills to properly expose the problems with how the state deals with abused children. Nearly five years later, Angela has begun to document the story of Nabeel.
